What changes in the senior years is what I’m listening for at exams: hesitation on stairs, slower rises after rest, reluctance to jump into the car, and any new head-tilt or disorientation that could point to vestibular disease rather than simple aging. Hearing loss related to aging is also worth tracking separately from any inherited deafness — a senior heeler that stops responding to verbal cues but still watches your hands closely is often losing hearing, not attention.

I still recommend a version of the daily walk-and-job routine into the senior years, just recalibrated. Shorter, more frequent outings replace the long run.
